The Fitness Court®, located at 8910 Willey Road, Crosby Township, Ohio.

This Fitness Court® was developed by UC Health, the Crosby Township Community Senior Center, and NFC to expand free access to high-quality workouts and create equitable access to exercise for communities across the region. The Fitness Court® is the world’s best outdoor gym that lets users leverage their own body weight to get a complete workout using seven exercise stations. This initiative affirms UC Health’s commitment to making Greater Cincinnati the healthiest city in America by championing community wellness and preventative health programs that are accessible for all, supporting whole-person care that can help prevent, treat and reverse chronic disease.

“At UC Health, we believe our responsibility is not only to care for people when they are sick, but to help them stay healthy,” said Cory Shaw, UC Health president and CEO. “By supporting this Fitness Court, we’re investing in a resource that empowers individuals and families to build healthier habits for years to come.”

Created for adults of all abilities aged 14+, the Fitness Court® workouts are adaptable for all fitness levels, allowing participants to move at their own pace. Users also may download the free Fitness Court® App which acts as a coach-in-your-pocket and enhances the outdoor gym into a digitally supported wellness experience.  The Crosby Township Community Senior Center is one of the first Campaign Partners building a network of Fitness Courts across the region, with the help of UC Health.

“Bringing the Fitness Court to Crosby Township has been an incredibly rewarding experience. As a smaller, close-knit community, we are especially proud to provide our residents with the same high-quality health and wellness opportunities found in much larger communities,” stated Christina Vennemeier, Crosby Township administrator and Fitness Court site representative. “This project represents what can happen when a community, its leaders, local partners, and supporters come together around a shared vision. I am truly grateful to everyone who helped make this possible, and I am excited to see families, seniors, young people, and neighbors having the opportunity to enjoy the Fitness Court for many years to come.”

“We are excited to have the Crosby Township Community Senior Center  join us in the journey to improve health and wellness as we work to make a powerful and long-lasting impact on health outcomes and happiness by building healthy communities across America,’’ said Mitch Menaged, founder of National Fitness Campaign. “The addition of the outdoor Fitness Court, along with digital wellness programming, demonstrates a tremendous commitment to the health and wellbeing within the Crosby Township community.”

Residents are invited to attend the launch event on October 21st at 10:00 AM to try the Fitness Court®.
