Breastfeeding Support Services

Helping You Achieve Breastfeeding Success

Breastfeeding is a special gift a mother gives her newborn. It helps build lasting bonds between mom and baby and has many health benefits. As a Baby-Friendly hospital, we have demonstrated excellence in providing evidence-based maternity care, optimal infant feeding outcomes and mother/baby bonding opportunities. We’re proud of this accomplishment and will be your partner on your journey to achieve breastfeeding success. We encourage, support and educate new moms and can help you have a successful and comfortable experience.

One mom’s journey:

We offer consultations by board-certified lactation consultants for questions you may have throughout your pregnancy or postpartum. From prenatal classes to one-on-one inpatient consultations, we are a resource for everything related to breastfeeding. Read about the ten steps to successful breastfeeding.

During your hospital stay, our experienced nurses help you with breastfeeding in the first hour following your baby’s birth, and throughout your stay. If your baby is transferred to our Neonatal Intensive Care unit, our breastfeeding support transitions with you. When you’re ready to go home, we provide you with resources to make your breastfeeding experience comfortable and rewarding.
