UC Health Air Care & Mobile Care

History

As a result of the increasing number of high-acuity, critically ill/injured patients, air and ground medical transport has become a necessary extension of hospital services.

Air Care & Mobile Care has provided the Greater Cincinnati area with specialized medical transport services for patients in our community for over 35 years. Our program comprises a staff of 140 employees from diverse professional backgrounds and is the only provider in the region to provide four levels of care. In addition to providing air transport with emergency trained physicians or advanced practice nurses, and highly trained flight nurses on every flight, we offer 4 levels of ground transport: Mobile Intensive Care, Critical Care, Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support. We are also the only service in the region to be accredited in all four levels of medical transport by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems – making us a leader in meeting your patient transport needs.

Accreditation

Accredited in all four levels of medical transport

Air Care & Mobile Care is the only service in the region to be accredited in four levels of medical transport by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems. CAMTS accreditation is the highest standard by which medical transport services are measured and is similar to the Joint Commission oversight for hospitals. CAMTS has continued to recognize our service for levels of excellence in many areas, including quality management and community service. This continued recognition over the years by CAMTS and other similar agencies demonstrates our commitment to our patients, as well as our community.

CAMTS Accreditation Public Notice

UC Health Air Care & Mobile Care is a fully accredited CAMTS program and is currently in the reaccreditation process to evaluate the program’s compliance with nationally established standards. Learn more.
