Early Intervention Program
Get support early and without barriers.
We provide free walk-in rapid HIV and hepatitis C tests, help from Peer Recovery Specialists and connections to substance use care, infectious disease care and primary care. Harm reduction tools are available, including naloxone and fentanyl test strips. We also offer help and referrals for those affected by human trafficking.

Support in the Emergency Department
Our Early Intervention Program works alongside emergency department teams to reach people during critical moments. In one year, our team:
- Supported 5,536 patients
- Completed 2,417 health risk assessments
- Provided 1,291 HIV tests
- Connected 193 people with HIV and 1,142 with hepatitis C to care
- Linked 466 people to substance use treatment
- Held 379 peer support meetings
Harm Reduction
Tools That Save Lives
Harm reduction helps prevent overdose, reduce infections and keep people safer while they work toward recovery. Our program distributed 1,231 naloxone kits, 2,027 fentanyl test strips and 168 wound care kits, providing practical tools that protect health and often serve as the first step toward trusting relationships and ongoing care.
