We believe that no one should leave Greater Cincinnati to receive the care they need – and we receive patients from all over the United States and other parts of the world.
A Modern, Expanded Emergency Department
As the region’s only Level I trauma center, we have a responsibility to be fully and easily prepared to care for all patients. We will renovate and expand the 30-year-old Emergency Department at UC Medical Center and add a new Flex ICU to better anticipate and serve the needs of our community.
Additional Operating Room Capacity
Today, our outpatient operating rooms are located in a different building from the main hospital. We will consolidate these operating rooms into one location at UC Medical Center to improve patient care and recovery, as well as staff efficiency. We will also add eight new operating rooms.
Our History
Honoring Our Past As We Build Our Future
As part of our revitalization, we will be demolishing our B Pavilion and Radiology Administration buildings, as well as part of our Old Operating Pavilion.
However, we will maintain our historical Surgical Amphitheater, an integral part of our history as a teaching and academic healthcare system.
