West Chester Hospital is pleased to offer a free two-part comprehensive series of classes to help people manage their diabetes. The series will be taught by a certified diabetes nurse educator.

A variety of topics will be discussed including: basic carbohydrate counting, making smart choices when dining out, how to achieve better results with medication, a review of newly released medications, and how to start (or improve) an activity program. Other areas of discussion will include the psychological and social aspects of living with diabetes as well as how to best take control of the disease.

There are several sessions available for the Diabetes Management Program: 

  • Tuesdays, July 7 & 21, 2015 –12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Women’s Center Conference Room)
  • Tuesday July 14 & Monday July 20, 2015 – 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (WCH Plaza Conference Room, Level A)
  • Tuesdays, August 11 & 25, 2015 – 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (WCH Plaza Conference Room, Level A)
  • Tuesdays, September 1 & 15, 2015 – 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Women’s Center Conference Room)
  • Tuesdays, September 22 & 29, 2015 – 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (WCH Plaza Conference Room, Level A)
