West Chester Hospital and Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky partner to bring support, education and information to cancer patients, cancer survivors, and to members of the local community who have been touched by cancer.
The two organizations are offering a free cancer education program for the public, entitled “Reclaiming Intimacy” on Saturday, April 9.
This program for women will be focused on providing a safe, professionally facilitated and fun environment to discuss concerns related to intimacy and sexual functioning. Participants will receive information about intimacy and sexual function after a cancer diagnosis and about the sexual response cycle. There will be a discussion on products, tips and activities that are helpful in enhancing intimacy. Light refreshments will be served.
This free series is offered throughout the year at West Chester Hospital and features informal presentations by physicians and other health care professionals in a casual, relaxed environment. Representatives from Cancer Support Community and West Chester Hospital are available to discuss the challenges of a cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery, as well as provide information about their cancer programs and services.
