West Chester Hospital is pleased to offer a free two-part comprehensive series of classes to help people manage their diabetes. The series will be taught by a certified diabetes nurse educator.
The January Diabetes Management Program consists of two evening sessions:
- Thursday, January 7 & 14, 2015 – 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (WCH Plaza Conference Room, Level A)
A variety of topics will be discussed including: basic carbohydrate counting, making smart choices when dining out, how to achieve better results with medication, a review of newly released medications, and how to start (or improve) an activity program. Other areas of discussion will include the psychological and social aspects of living with diabetes as well as how to best take control of the disease.
