Free seminars focus on building from previous education received from a certified diabetes education program. The experts leading these sessions may include a certified diabetes educator, registered dietitian, clinical pharmacist and other diabetes experts. A variety of diabetes-related topics are presented including: an overview of how diabetes affects the body, updates on meal planning and carbohydrate counting, updates on medication and the importance of exercise, and traveling with diabetes, among others.
