Geri’s Story

A routine follow-up scan for a previous cancer diagnosis led to the discovery of Geri’s dilated biliary ducts and her pancreatic cancer. A Whipple procedure was performed to remove the cancer at the head of her pancreas, and following chemotherapy and radiation, Geri is now on the road to recovery.

Targeted Treatment Could Prevent Spread of Pancreatic Cancer, Heart Damage

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine researchers have shown that a new targeted treatment could benefit patients with certain pancreatic tumors by preventing the spread of the cancer and protecting their heart from damage.
