West Chester Hospital presents a free seminar for the community, titled “Own Your Diabetes,” to provide education to help diabetics take control of the disease so that it does not “own” them or their lifestyle. A multidisciplinary team of diabetes experts will provide an introductory overview of diabetes and share important information about how to best manage the condition.
Attendees will be invited to ask questions and learn about improving diabetes management. Specific seminar topics will include:
- Diabetes Basics
- Medications
- Nutrition
- Exercise & Fitness
- Healthy Coping
- Overcoming and Preventing Complications
