West Chester Hospital will present two free seminars on October 23 and 26, featuring primary care physicians and pharmacists who will discuss various types of prescription medications, how they work, why we need them, and how to maximize their effectiveness.

A variety of questions will be addressed, including: What happens when you don’t follow dosage instructions? How can one avoid dangerous side effects when taking multiple medications? Do vitamins and supplements interact with prescribed medications? When taking them long-term, do they place us at risk? What is the safest way to dispose of unwanted medications? Why is important to talk with your primary care physician and your pharmacist about medications?

WHEN: Wednesday, October 23, 7-8:30 p.m. The seminar will be repeated on Saturday, October 26, 9-10:30 a.m.
