Groundbreaking Brain Tumor Therapy
UC Health delivers hope for all cancers of the brain and spine with the region’s only proton therapy center and the world’s only fully research-dedicated proton gantry. Proton therapy uses very precise radiation to destroy tumors while sparing healthy tissue—reducing side effects and complications. Our experts also pioneer surgical techniques with the Neurosurgery Goodyear Lab, so patients receive the most innovative care available.

Patients are seen within 72 hours and guided by a dedicated nurse navigator who coordinates multidisciplinary expertise unique to the Cincinnati area. Most post-surgery patients recover in a stepdown intensive care unit designed to prioritize caregiver access and involvement. In addition, our partnership with a Community Advisory Council extends support and outreach to patients and families throughout their journey.
