The UC Health Skull Base Team holds the Multidisciplinary Team of Distinction designation from the North American Skull Base Society.
Our researchers were instrumental in developing and testing tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), a groundbreaking clot-busting drug used to treat acute ischemic stroke. tPA was the first FDA-approved medical treatment for strokes caused by blood clots.
